Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) is a widely used analytical technique for evaluating material properties that undergo weight loss or gain due to thermal decomposition, oxidation, moisture release, or volatilisation. The method continuously measures changes in sample mass as temperature varies over time under controlled atmospheric conditions.
The elite TGA et250 is a Macro Thermogravimetric Analyser designed for precise, repeatable measurement of Moisture, Ash, Volatile Matter, Fixed Carbon, and Loss-on-Ignition (LOI) across a wide range of materials. Using the loss-on-drying technique, the analyser tracks mass loss as a function of temperature while precisely controlling atmosphere and ventilation rates.
Capable of analysing up to 19 samples plus one reference simultaneously, the TGA et250 significantly improves laboratory throughput while maintaining high analytical accuracy. Dual thermocouple monitoring ensures precise control of both the furnace and sample temperatures, delivering reliable, reproducible results.
