The Multifors 2 bioreactor system from INFORS HT enables researchers to conduct up to six bioprocesses in parallel with unmatched precision and control. Designed for microbial fermentation and cell culture applications, the Multifors 2 is ideal for process optimization, scale-up studies, and advanced R&D environments that demand consistency and reproducibility.
Each vessel comes preconfigured with four precision pumps (expandable to five) and autoclavable pump heads for sterile and efficient operation. The system supports gravimetric feeding via an external scale and profile-based pump control through eve® bioprocess software, allowing precise nutrient delivery throughout cultivation.
The powerful magnetic drive system ensures contamination-free mixing, while the motor-under-vessel design provides excellent access to all ports for sensors, sampling, and maintenance. With up to 13 sensor ports, users can integrate measurements for pH, pO₂, antifoam, optical density, redox potential, conductivity, and live cell density.
Flexible gas management options support up to 5 gas lines, controlled via rotameters or mass flow regulators, with customizable pO₂ cascades for fine-tuned oxygen control. The Multifors 2 also offers seamless connectivity through digital (Modbus) or analog sensors, an integrated touchscreen, and an OPC XML-DA interface for direct communication with eve® and other process systems.
Whether optimizing microbial fermentation or developing cell culture processes, the Multifors 2 provides a complete and scalable platform for modern bioprocessing.
