CGQ BioR – Optical Biomass Sensor

The CGQ BioR is an advanced optical biomass sensor that measures cell growth directly through the glass wall of a bioreactor. This plug-and-play sensor delivers real-time, non-invasive optical density (OD) data, enabling researchers to precisely monitor biomass development without disrupting cultivation.

Designed for maximum compatibility, the CGQ BioR integrates seamlessly with INFORS HT bioreactors and other glass bioreactor systems, both single- and double-wall. It supports a wide range of bioprocess applications, from microbial fermentation to cell culture, and offers flexible detection modes for varying cell densities.

The CGQ BioR features standard mode (520 nm) for OD 0.5–30 and high cell density mode (940 nm) for OD 15–300, ensuring optimal accuracy across diverse process types. Integrated data analysis tools make it easy to compare growth curves, create feeding profiles, and correlate readings with OD or dry biomass, enhancing process control and reproducibility.
